Veteran brightens woman’s day
I was recently in Long John Silvers waiting in line along with everyone else. Standing in front of me were a man and his son. He was fumbling for his change in his pocket and apologizing to the cashier for holding up the line.
“Sorry, but I just did 10 tours in Iraq and have to get back to normalcy,” he said. I was so impressed I offered to buy his dinner, but he politely refused. I shook his hand and thanked him for serving our country. This gentleman made my day. It was a joy to meet him.
