Survival of fittest hardly motherly trait

The author of a July 4, 2017, letter to the editor, “Young reader is right about social media,” has a point that may backfire when he advises “young writer” that “spending time in nature” is a start in changing the world.

Anyone who spends an hour alone in nature would see how heartless, pitiless-mindless is Mother Nature.

She has one rule and one rule only: “survival of the fittest.”

Mankind has been fighting nature ever since he discovered how to make fire.

Don’t you find it curious when we call “Mother Nature” mother?

What would Freud ever have done without her?
