Socialist movement threat to society

Numerous letters have appeared in this column regarding the threat to our democracy and of the potential for disaster since the election of President Donald Trump.

When, in reality, the threat may be far greater from the socialist/communist progressive movement.

For example, the Organization for Action, with more than 200 offices across the country, is planning and has already begun militant actions attempting to destroy Trump.

The numerous women’s marches the day after the presidential inauguration certainly required significant organizational support, funds and coordination.

An organization called BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) had a well-rehearsed black clad group that acted to stop a speech by a conservative British journalist on the campus of the University of California at Berkley.

The protest resulted in about $100,000 in damages, and the protest leader, Yvette Felarca, said she had no regrets over the chaos and damage caused, and added that the “left” has been far too timid for too long.

The Berkley police were ordered to stand down and watch the destructive rioting. A group, called “Knights for Socialism,” is teaching children to chant “Kill Trump” while bashing an effigy of our president with baseball bats.

Our nation supports free speech, but that does not include freedom to riot, destroy property and attack persons who do not agree with your agenda.

The numerous riotous press conferences of many Republican congressmen were well attended and appeared to have been orchestrated by leftist groups such as Organization for Action.

This group — “a community organization” — advocates the agenda of our former US president.

A sizable majority of our citizens here in central Pennsylvania supported Trump and his agenda by their votes.

Is there any reason to allow these riotous, hateful and destructive small groups to destroy the man and his policies that we voted for?
