Logan Twp. has misplaced priorities
I read with interest a recent public notice ad concerning a new sewer line in Logan Township to service 12 families and thereby “improve the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Logan Township” at a cost of $160,000.
This winter, the road that I and 11 other families live on was completely impassable because of severe icing.
Calls to the township for anti-skid material were responded to, and we were informed that there is no money budgeted — and that the road is not considered a public road.
Now they’re paying $160,000 for a sewer line, but $20 worth of anti-skid is out of the question. No fire truck, ambulance, police or EMT vehicles could have navigated this road.
God forbid someone had a heart attack, house fire or maybe my neighbor’s two 3-year-olds had a medical problem.
I find Supervisor Jim Patterson’s remarks to provide for the health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Logan Township to be completely hypocritical, one-sided and disingenuous.
There are no special interest families living on this hill, and nobody giving out free tickets to Curve games.
