ASO performance deserves ‘big bravo’

I went to the Altoona Symphony performance of “Flight and Fancy” presented at the Hollidaysburg Area Senior High School last Saturday.

I was spellbound by the talents of the ballet dancers and their sophisticated education and training and how they came to share with our community.

We have to say thank you to the parents of Jared Angle and their talents of raising such an outstanding son.

I was spellbound just watching his graceful presentation and muscular body.

Without Angle’s influence we would have never seen Ashley Laracey, a soloist from New York City Ballet. She had such sparkle, defined movements and just glided through the air like an angel.

Without Angle, this would have never happened in Altoona or Hollidaysburg, and we would not have experienced the talents of Troy Schumacher, choreographer, dancer and director living in New York City.

There was a lot of hard work from The Allegheny Ballet Company, dancers Dina Bilofsky and Connor Kilian Weigand, choreographers with ABC.

The ASO was magnificent and Teresa Cheung, music director and conductor was on top of the orchestra, supporting them with her power. I loved her little red slippers and wonderful smile.

Everyone that supported this program deserves a “big bravo.”
