Hess will be missed

For those of you who weren’t familiar with Dr. Megan Hess, my husband and I would like to let you know about her.

We had been patients of hers for more than 13 years. She was the most intelligent doctor I’ve known, not only as a doctor but as a person. We had a connection with her not only as patients but as friends.

She cared about her patients; she spent time with us. Back in 2012 when my husband wasn’t feeling well, Dr. Hess didn’t hesitate she said bring him right in. She ordered blood work STAT (which means right away).

When she saw the results she ordered him to the hospital where he had a CT scan of his lungs. Here he had pneumonia. She saved his life.

She had such a kind personality about her. We just saw her and her husband at the Blair County Home & Garden Show. I remember how she laughed and said, “keep me away from that fudge.”

It will be difficult with another doctor. We want her husband and family to know that she’s in our thoughts and Dr. Megan Hess, you will be missed.
