Grateful for warmth of Christmas spirit

We had a very unusual day while shopping a few days before Christmas.

First, we were in a local department store, when a young lady approached us. She held a card out to me and said she just wanted to wish us a Merry Christmas.

In the card, she had written Merry Christmas and a great year to come. That this came from a perfect stranger really cheered me up. Then later, my husband and I went out to dinner at a local restaurant.

When finished eating, my hubby gave the waitress our bank card to pay. She brought the card back, said she couldn’t use it. It seems as though some kind person had already paid our bill. They wished to remain anonymous.

I just wanted to thank both of these people for making our day, knowing that there are still caring people in this world.
