Crack down on gun laws
I am extremely concerned about the increasingly frequent occurrence of firearms falling into the wrong hands, especially those of children, as reported in the Sept. 11 story, “Police: Boy shot his half-brother in neck.”
I believe that there should be harsher punishments for those who violate gun laws because current ones aren’t keeping our nation’s youth safe.
A child cannot be blamed for picking up a loaded firearm lying right in front of him/her that the parents knowingly left sitting out, such as the case in this article.
With harsher punishments for gun-related law violations, our youth would become much safer.
