Supporting Kelley as city’s next mayor

As a proud Altoonan, I’m supporting and voting for Bruce Kelley for mayor, and I encourage the voters to do the same.

Kelley is actively involved in the community. He’s a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and on the board of directors of the Greater Altoona Economic Development Committee. He is a life member of the Bavarian Aid Society and Railroaders Memorial Museum, as well as a member of the NRA.

He’s a man of action who talks the talk and walks the walk, as he demonstrated by making it possible for the nostalgic store Bombshell Vintiques to open downtown on 11th Ave.

He was at the ribbon-cutting ceremony on opening day on Aug. 30. And he mingled with the people perusing Bombshell. I’ve met and spoken with Kelley, and he’s passionate about Altoona, our interests and the issues. He embraces our history.

And he’s passionate and optimistic about our future.
