Drugs saved catastrophe

Originally, Vladislav Miftakhov was only under investigation for growing and selling marijuana.

Upon that investigation, the Penn State Altoona community learned that there was more than just a drug bust. Students should be thankful that drugs are what saved a potential catastrophe.

We hear stories like this almost every single day on the news about a school bomb-threat or shooting.

It is sad to think that the one place students should be the safest outside their home is becoming the most dangerous. School is a learning environment, not one to be consumed by fear.

It amazes me that his roommates did not see him as dangerous.

I cannot imagine living in a house with Miftakhov, knowing what he was possibly capable of and be able to sleep at night.
