Put the employee first

I have written a few editorials in the past couple of months but apparently, they just did not suit the Mirror’s taste.

I do get on employers and their lack of respect for their employees.

After all, I am my daddy’s daughter. I grew up in a blue-collar family where my dad worked hard. He believed that people who actually do the work also make the money for the owner/employer and that, without the employee, no one makes any money.

He also said that if an employer treats the employee with respect and pays a family-supporting wage with benefits, then there isn’t a need to be unionized.

It seems to me now that with the amount of unemployed individuals, that the treatment of employees by employers is getting worse.

And I say again:?Do the employers/owners give up their patriotism for capitalism?
