Domestic relations does not require the custodial parent to appear for adjustment hearings when the non-custodial parent requests any changes.
They do not force the custodial parent to show proof of income after the initial conference.
How can this be?
If we are going to hold the non-custodial parent accountable, shouldn’t we be holding the custodial parent accountable also?
Considering the fact that child support is to be calculated using incomes from both parties, if they are not taking both incomes into consideration, how is it lawful for them to increase support with no knowledge of the other income?
Just adding in minimum wage for the income of the custodial parent should not be acceptable practice, yet this is what goes on.
