Spending increase unjustified

At a time when many Americans are having to tighten our belts and do more with less, President Barack Obama thinks government should be an exception.

An example of his thinking is in his request that the National Labor Relations Board receive $235 million during the upcoming fiscal year. That is a 1.8 percent increase.

Does the NLRB need more money and more employees? Judge for yourself: During the past two years, the agency’s caseload has decreased by nearly 9 percent. It is down a whopping 59 percent from 20 years ago.

No wonder the national debt is nearing $17 trillion.

This is insane, but it is Obama’s philosophy of bleeding Americans so the government can grow. Congress should say no.
