Bryan Jonathan Norris

Aug. 6, 1958 – June 29, 2019

Bryan Jonathan Norris, 60, Sugar Land, Texas, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully Saturday.

He was born in Altoona, son of Leon and Mary “Thelma” (Stevens) Norris.

Surviving are his loving wife of 27 years, Charlet Norris; daughters: Shayna Norris and Brianna Norris; his father, Leon Norris; brothers: Randy Norris and wife, Nancy, Todd Norris and wife, Corina, and Brad Norris and partner, Jerry Benito; special friend, Luis Sanchez; and many nieces and nephews and extended family.

Bryan moved to Texas when he was 20 and began his career at Tuboscope working in the pipeline business. After 25 years in the pipeline industry, he changed careers to start a pool company, Norris Pools, with his wife Charlet. The pool business was perfect for Bryan because he could fix just about anything with his “magic touch.” Bryan was president of the Houston Chapter of Independent Pool and Spa Association. He was admired by friends and family for his passion in the pool industry.

Bryan also had a passion for sports and loved to play billiards. He was a certified scuba diver and dove on the Great Barrier Reef, one of the most important highlights of his life. He was known for his infectious smile and kind and compassionate spirit.

Bryan faced every challenge head-on with courage and his strong will. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 20, 2019, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, 628 W. First St., Williamsburg, where a reception will follow in the social hall immediately after the Mass. Arrangements are by Sugar Land Mortuary.
