Donald E. ‘Don’ Wickham


Donald E. “Don” Wickham, 64, Imler, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.

He was born in Rome, N.Y., son of the late Otis and Fannie Wickham. On Aug. 30, 1994, he married Barbara Helsel in Berkley Springs, W.Va.

Surviving are his wife; a stepdaughter, Cheri A. Black and friend, Dale Troutman; a granddaughter, McKenzi Black; two sisters; three brothers; many nieces and nephews; and his dog, Maverick.

Don retired as a flow packer operator from A.P. Green-Sproul in 2012 after more than 20 years of service.

He was a member of the Chestnut Ridge Rod and Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending car shows.

Don was always willing to help anyone and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2019, at Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2019, at the funeral home, Pastor David Maxwell officiating. Interment will be at Greenfield Cemetery.
