Carol Marie White-Fowler

May 18, 1936 – May 12, 2019

Carol Marie White-Fowler, 82, Altoona, died peacefully on Sunday morning at her residence, surrounded by her children.

She was born in Coupon, daughter of the late Florence (Conrad) Bistline.

Surviving are her three children: Kathleen Marie (John) O’Shea, Thomas Michael White and Amy Cherisse White; two grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth and Maura Carol; a sister, Patricia Ann Phillips; a niece, Kelly Ann Phillips; and an extended family of friends and relatives. Her caregivers, specifically Missy and Jolene, from Home Health Agency Palliative Care, were always there to help.

She was preceded in death by two husbands: James R. White in 2007 and James P. Fowler in 2018.

Carol was a 1954 graduate of Altoona High School. She was a well-recognized and accomplished Tupperware saleswoman, having founded her sales group, “The Caroliers,” from 1972-99. She was also owner and proprietor of the Stonehouse Inn in McKee. In addition, Carol was a drug and alcohol counselor and worked at various group homes. She enjoyed her work, and took pride in her family. She was also a lover of animals, domestic and wild.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church.

A private family burial will be held at St. Joseph Cemetery, Coupon. Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Services Inc., Duncansville.
