Michele E. (Hoover) Zorger

April 29, 1962 - March 13, 2019

Michele E. (Hoover) Zorger, 56, Youngstown, Ohio, formerly of Duncansville, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Canfield Healthcare Center, Youngstown, Ohio, after a courageous battle with Huntington’s disease.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Homer and Shirley (Hanks) Hoover.

Surviving are a daughter, Tasha Zorger (Mike Whetsel); a son, Adam Carr; a granddaughter, Kylah Helscel; a sister, Tami (Charles) Johnson; her stepmother, Denise Hoover; and a stepbrother, Clay (Shannon) Cameron.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Raechel Zorger in January 2019.

Michele graduated with honors from Hollidaysburg Area High School. She worked various jobs over the years until effects of rheumatoid arthritis made work impossible.

She was a member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, and enjoyed crafting, baking and her pets.

The family of Michele would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the former staff of Camelot Arms, the staff at Canfield Healthcare Center and the staff at Ohio Living Hospice; “Thank yous are not enough for the loving care and support you gave Michele and our family. God bless you all.”

Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019, at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, where a memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Michele’s uncle, Galen Hoover, retired pastor of the Church of the Brethren, officiating. Interment will be at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
