Gerald P. ‘Pat’ Shaw
April 22, 1932 - April 12, 2019
Gerald P. “Pat” Shaw, 86, Duncansville, passed away Friday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Altoona.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Russell and Geraldine (Mallory) Shaw. On Feb. 2, 1954, he married Shirley Long in Winchester, Va.
Surviving are his wife of Duncansville; a son, Daniel Shaw of Hollidaysburg; a daughter, Kathy Shaw of Lexington, Va.; two granddaughters: Shawna and Melissa; three great-granddaughters: Keisha, Desire and Madison; and a sister, Sharon Croll of McKee.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Shaw.
Pat served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He retired in 1995 as a truck driver from Appleton Papers after 44 years of service.
He was a lifetime member of the Roaring Spring VFW, Ray-Camp Post 7689. He was also a member of McKee United Methodist Church and the Roaring Spring Lions Club.
Pat enjoyed woodworking and ceramics.
Friends will be received from noon until the 2 p.m. funeral service Monday, April 15, 2019, at Miller Funeral Home, East Freedom, Pastor Cheryl Gonsman officiating. Interment will be at Leamersville Riverview Cemetery.
