Elmer H. Warfield

Elmer H. Warfield, 80, Patton, died Friday at UPMC Altoona.
He was born in Patton, son of the late Edwin and Caroline (McConnell) Warfield.
Surviving are two daughters: Melissa Warfield of Patton and Jodi (Mark) Gartland of Martinsburg; five grandchildren: Chelsea, Caitlin and Brayden Whittaker and Owen and Alex Gartland; his companion of 15 years, Christine Abel, and her daughters: Jessica Abel, Jade Abel and Robin Conklin; and many nieces and nephews. His cats Cookie, Chubby and Mika brought him much happiness throughout his illness.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Evelyn and Eleanor Warfield and Mary Hoover. Elmer was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
He retired after many years working in the garment industry as a cutter at Barnesboro Shirt Co. and other clothing factories throughout the area.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2019, at Moriconi Funeral Home, Inc., Northern Cambria, Father Thaddeus Rettger, O.S.B., officiating, with viewing following the service until 6 p.m. Committal will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.
