Peggy Lee Booterbaugh, 66, New Brighton, entered her eternal home on Tuesday at Heritage Valley Health System, Beaver, with her loving daughter by her side.
She was born in Philipsburg Hospital, Clearfield County. She was the youngest of six children to the late Denver and Laudell (Gallaher) Beers. Peggy and her siblings were raised in Blandburg.
Surviving are her daughter, Frances Booterbaugh of Beaver Falls; and siblings: Etta (Chuck) Shank of Willowick, Ohio, Lomoine (Sandy) Beers of Coppers Cove, Texas.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Frances Simmons, Eugene Beers and “the baby,” stillborn, Mary Jane.
She was a 1970 graduate of Glendale Jr. Sr. High School. After high school, Peggy married Harry Booterbaugh. In Glasgow, Peggy made a home for her family and was a stay-at-home mom for her little girl, Frances. Later in life she became a Certified Nursing Assistant, where her talents for caring for others grew and flourished. Upon moving to New Brighton in 2009, she resided in the Thomas Bishop Apartments. There she continued to serve and support her daughter and enjoying the many adventures they experienced together. She attended Beaver Baptist Church and was active in her housing complex’s tenants association.
Peggy will be missed by many, but is now free of pain and hardship; singing praises to her Lord forever.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are by John Syka Funeral Home, Ambridge.
Memorial contributions in Peggy’s memory can be made to the American Cancer Society, as Peggy was a breast cancer survivor.
