Adrian H. Leap

Adrian H. Leap, 72, Altoona, died Wednesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born in North Charleroi, son of the late Jerome and Marcella Leap. On Sept. 9, 1967, he married A. Diane Bunnell at St. Rose of Lima Church, Altoona.

Surviving are his wife of 51 years, Diane; his three children: Tina Yarnell and her husband, Brian, of Altoona, Brian and his wife, Paula, of Olympia, Wash., Stephanie Siekierka and her husband, Mark, of Scranton; two grandchildren: Eric and Lisa Yarnell; a sister, Cindy Julius; and a brother, Kevin.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Mark.

Adrian graduated from Altoona High School in 1966, and served in the U.S. Air Force for four years. He worked as a machinist for Conrail for 10 years, and was an owner/operator long distance truck driver for nearly 30 years.

Adrian enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, attending their many band concerts and performances, which he had also done with his three children. He was known as a car guy and rebuilt and fixed many cars over the years. He enjoyed watching racing, primarily Formula 1 and drag racing.

Friends will be received from noon to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2019, at First Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1401 12th Ave., Altoona, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 1 p.m., officiated by The Rev. Dr. Barry Folmar.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First Evangelical Lutheran Church.
