Domenica Josephine “Minnie” Ciambotti, 88, Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Altoona.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Carlo and Maria Asunta (Pinciotti) Ciambotti.

Surviving are three sisters: Christine M. Ciambotti, Marion V. Fultz and Rita B. Luciano (James); a sister-in-law, Gloria Ciambotti; and many special nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers: Donald A. and Robert G. Ciambotti; two sisters: Angeline R. Pacifico and Flora L. Evangelisto; a sister-in-law, Jeanette N. Ciambotti; and two brothers-in-law: Albert Evangelisto and Allyn Fultz.

Minnie was a 1948 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School and retired after 30 years of service from Warnaco, formerly Puritan Sportswear, as an accounts receivable clerk. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church and Sons of Italy.

She enjoyed playing cards, working crossword puzzles, watching game shows and cheering for the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Dec. 17, 2018, The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2018, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church by the Franciscan Fathers. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to UPMC Altoona Foundation, 620 Howard Ave., Altoona, PA 16601-4899 in Minnie’s memory.
