Leroy Huber, 87, Odenton, Ohio, died Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at his residence.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Oscar N. and Christine (Kline) Huber. He married Bonnie Lou Seagraves Smith Huber.
Surviving are his wife; five children: Lee F. Huber of Roanoke, Va., Teresa Jewell of Cincinnati, Ohio, Tina Allgood of Garfield, Ky., Yvonne Ito of Seattle, Wash., and Rocklyn Huber in Kentucky; 60 grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four sisters: Delores Alexander of Spring Valley, Calif., Berenice “Beanie” DeJean of Pales Grove, N.J., Eleanor Ryan of Altoona and Olean (Dave) Keiffer of Pittsburgh.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Dorothy Ropp, Mary Marr and Adelaide (Sister Mary Dorothy Huber, S.C.); and four brothers: Edward, Morgan, Wilfred and Joseph Huber.
Leroy retired from the U.S. Army. He was a former school bus driver for Perry County School District. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Ashland, Ky.
He loved to fish and tell stories. Leroy also enjoyed football and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Local arrangements are by Jones Funeral Home, Altoona.
