Wanda Joan Rhiver, 81, Altoona, died Sunday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidays­burg.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William and Ona (Rehrer) Rhiver.

Surviving are a very special sister, Dawn LaRay Mangus of Altoona; two nieces: Renee Milliron and husband, Michael, and Lisa Logan and husband, Richard, all of Altoona; a great-niece: Jennifer Traficante and husband, Brandon, of Altoona; a great-nephew, Steven Milliron of Altoona; and a special cousin, Gwen Wright in Florida.

Joan was a 1955 graduate of Altoona High School and retired from the Blair County Office of Recorder & Deeds. Prior to that, she had previously worked for Altoona Pipe & Steel and Investors Diversified.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Over the years, she volunteered at Blair Senior Services and the Rail­roaders Museum. She was a member of the National Association of Railway Business Women and an associate of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.

Joan was a collector of dollhouse miniatures and an avid dog lover. She especially loved her dog, Buttons.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, Pastor Elizabeth Hess officiating. Entomb­ment will be at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Altoona.
