Mary Margaret Morrisey Bravin

Mary Margaret (Metzler) Morrisey Bravin, 93, died Sunday afternoon at Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Virn Chester and Clay R. (Baker) Metzler. She was twice married; firston June 28, 1958, to John J. “Jack” Morrisey, who preceded her in death in 1984; then on Oct. 24, 1987, to John Andrew Bravin, who preceded her in death on Feb. 10, 2011.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ellen Adams and husband, Joseph, of Duncansville; a stepdaughter, Jacqueline Walk and husband, Henry, and their family; a grandson, Jeffrey T. Adams and wife, Kim, of Duncansville; five great grandchildren: Hannah, Abigail, Caroline, Josiah and Luke; and a niece, Sandy Brown of Newry.
She was preceded in death by a stepdaughter, Nancy; and four siblings: Blair Worley, Isabel Conrad, Paul Metzler and Bernard Metzler.
In 1989, Mary retired as an office supervisor for Conrail after 45 years of service.
She attended Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville. She enjoyed traveling worldwide.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Myers-Somers Funeral Home Inc., 501 Sixth Ave., Altoona, where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Pastor John Leatherman officiating. Entombment will be made at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
