Dorothy Marie Kensinger, 95, a resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, formerly of rural Williamsburg, went home to be with her Lord on Satur­day afternoon at the home.

She was born in rural Williamsburg, daughter of the late Marion W. and A. Evaline (Showalter) McConahy. On May 17, 1941, she married Robert M. Kensinger in Cumberland, Md., and he preceded her in death on Oct. 1, 1992.

Surviving are four sons: James R. (wife, Connie) of Henrietta, Garry D. (wife, Mary) and Dennis A. (wife, Jody), both of rural Williams­burg, and Stanley W. (wife, Patty) of Williams­burg; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald of Roaring Spring; seven sisters: Thelma Sollenberger of Martinsburg, Cleo Imler of Curryville, Laurie Faye of Vancouver, Wash., Mabel Sell of Imler, Pearl Schiappa of Altoona and Anna Grace Bookhammer and Janet Kipe, both of Williamsburg; a sister-in-law, Marie Cole of Williamsburg; and a brother-in-law, Fred Biddle of Williamsburg.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Joanne; a great-granddaughter, Angela Lynn Detwiler; four sisters: infant Ruth and Mary Baker, Naomi Over and Berna Dilling; and three brothers: Clarence, George and John.

Dorothy attended a one-room school house while growing up in rural Williams­burg. She was a longtime member of Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williams­burg, and for many years, she assisted her husband, Bob, with the daily operation of their dairy farm in rural Williamsburg.

She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and she also enjoyed baking, gardening and canning.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, 2018, at Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williams­burg and also from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service Saturday, Sept. 29, 2018 at the church, Pastor Eric J. Fether officiating. Interment will be held at Shellytown-Fairview Cemetery, rural Williams­burg. Arrange­ments are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.

The family prefers that memorial contributions in memory of Dorothy be given to Fairview Church of the Brethren, 1022 Fairview Road, Williamsburg, PA 16693.
