Patricia A. Luszik, 78, Freehold, N.J., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, at her residence after a short battle with cancer.

She was born in Windber, daughter of the late Ann (Rubal) and Walter Celmer.

Surviving are her husband of 54 years, Michael; a sister, Janet Dinicola, of Hollidays­burg; a daughter, Ann Marie and husband, Andrew Rohmeyer, of Englishtown, N.J.; a granddaughter, Mary; a sister-in-law, Jean Celmer; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Celmer; and a brother-in-law, Victor Dinicola.

Growing up in Beaverdale, Patricia graduated from Beaverdale-Wilmore High School in 1958 and from St. John Hospital School of Nursing, Pittsburgh, in 1961. She worked as a registered nurse in the Dispensary at Bethlehem Steel and at Johns­town Memorial Hos­pital. In 1964, she married her sweetheart, Michael Luszik, and shortly after, they moved to Roselle, N.J. She continued her career at Memorial General Hospital in Union, N.J. Later, she and her husband resided in Englishtown, Jackson and, more recently, Freehold, N.J.

Patricia was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Mercy Roman Catholic Church, Englishtown, N.J., and later on, St. Mary on the Lake Roman Catholic Church, Lakewood, N.J.

She followed her passions of writing and photography, and she even took piano lessons later on in life.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at St. Barthol­omew Catholic Church, Wilmore, Father Joseph Nale celebrant. Committal will be held afterward at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona.
