Charles T. ‘Skip’ Musselman Jr.

Charles T. “Skip” Musselman Jr., 69, Altoona, went home to be with the Lord on Monday at his residence.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Charles T. Sr. and Violet Jane (Oakley) Musselman. On June 14, 1969, he married Diane E. Weierick at Trinity Lutheran Church, Juniata.

Surviving are his wife, Diane; two daughters: Amy E. (Musselman) Fouse and husband, James Jr., and Kimberly D. (Musselman) Fischer and husband, Francis; four grandchildren: Megan and Brittney Fouse and Taylor and Frankie Fischer; a sister, Cecilia Mae Watson; and a brother, Craig A. Musselman.

Skip was a 1967 graduate of Altoona Area High School and a 1969 graduate of Williamsport Area Commu­nity College. He worked at Norfolk Southern, retiring in 2002 as a manager of manufacturing and warranty.

He was a member of Hiram Lodge 616, where he served as worshipful master in 1985. He was an active member of First Church of Christ, Altoona, and he was also active at the Lighthouse Men’s Fellowship and had been a volunteer for many years at what is now the UPMC Blood Lab in Altoona.

Skip was a devoted husband of 49 years, as well as a father and grandfather, and he always looked to help others.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, Aug. 8, 2018, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2018, at Mauk & Yates Funeral Home Inc., Juniata, Pastor John Collins officiating. Interment will be at Alto-Rest Park Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Church of Christ or Lighthouse Men’s Fellowship.
