Charles Anthony ‘Chuckie’ Risoldi

Charles Anthony “Chuckie” Risoldi, 68, Altoona, passed away Tuesday at UPMC Altoona after a brief illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of Gennaro C. and Josephine (Evangelisto) Risoldi.
Surviving are five sisters: Rose Marie Vinglas and husband, Luke, Geraldine Leiden and Monica DeStefano, all of Altoona, Gloria Evans and husband, Dan, of Raleigh, N.C., and Regina Harris and husband, Steve, of Flower Mound, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Paul F. Leiden.
Chuckie was a client at Skills Vocational Training Center, Altoona, and the Acel Day Program. He was actively involved in the Special Olympics and competed in bowling and track, having won numerous medals throughout the years.
He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Altoona, as well as the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania and the Sons and Daughters of Italy.
Chuckie enjoyed spending time with his family, eating homemade Italian food, playing UNO and rocking in his favorite chair while watching game shows.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31, 2018, at Anthony P. Scaglione Funeral Home, 1908 Seventh Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, 2018, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Altoona, Monsignor Robert Mazur celebrant. Committal will be at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona.
