Paul J. ‘Do’ Seidel
July 18, 1947 – June 30, 2018
Paul J. “Do” Seidel, 70, Altoona, passed away Saturday at UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, after a brief illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late J. Paul and A. Jean (Ferguson) Seidel. On Dec. 2, 1978, he married Patricia A. Foreman.
Surviving are his wife; two sons: Matthew S. Seidel (Vicki) of Tyrone and Michael J. Seidel (Samantha) of Denver, Colo.; two grandsons: Nathan S. Seidel (Samantha) and Logan L. Seidel, both of Tyrone; two sisters: Tina Marie Burnshire and Beth Ann Seidel, both of Altoona; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry D. Seidel.
He was a 1965 graduate of Altoona High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He retired from Norfolk Southern as a car repairman and was a founding member of the Altoona Corvette Club.
Paul enjoyed restoring classic cars, especially Corvettes, going to car shows and spending time with his family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held from 4 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2018, at Unter Uns, 1401 Van Buren Ave., Altoona.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice in Paul’s memory.
