Charlotte A. Eicher

Charlotte A. Eicher, 71, Claysburg, passed away Wednesday at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late William C. and Menalie (Beaver) Ebersole. On May 14, 1966, she married Garland M. Eicher Jr. in Cumberland, Md., and he preceded her in death on Feb. 20, 2016.
Surviving are a son, Garland M. Eicher III and wife, Tracie, of Imler; two daughters: Miriam R. Feathers and husband, Michael, of Alum Bank and Melinda A. McDonald and husband, Kevin, of Claysburg; seven grandchildren: Patrick and Gracie Eicher, Levi, Cole and Elizabeth Feathers and Logan and Hunter McDonald; a sister, Susan Mock; and a brother, James Harold Ebersole.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Charles R. and David S. Ebersole.
Charlotte was a 1964 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School, as well as a graduate of Adele Allen Beauty School, Altoona. She was employed at the family business, Garland M. Eicher and Son Packing Co., until 1988, and then retired in 2004 as a consumer safety inspector for the USDA.
She was a member of Queen United Methodist Church. She was an avid quilter, and she enjoyed many crafts. She also enjoyed cooking new and different foods, her little dog, Penny, and spending time with her children and grandchildren at the family camp in Potter County.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. today, July 12, 2018, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Queen United Methodist Church, Pastor John Mackey officiating. Interment will be at Greenfield Cemetery. Arrangements are by Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
