Anna Mary Hutchison

July 26, 1925 – July 28, 2018

Anna Mary Hutchison, 93, a resident of The Winds at Mattern Orchard, formerly of Duncansville, died Saturday.

She was born in Cross Keys, daughter of the late Chester and Ruth (Clapper) Hoover. On March 9, 1951, she married Ralph Hutchison in Roaring Spring.

Surviving are three sons: Dr. James and wife, Dr. Christine, of Lynchburg, Va., Lyn and wife, Joni, of Duncansville and Randy of Hampton, Va.; three grandchildren: Justin Hutchison and wife, Gretchen, Rachel LaBelle and husband, Gary, and Jaime Zeigler and husband, David; two stepgrandchildren: Paul Orlino and wife, Sara, and Sean Hurley and wife, Alyssa; and six great-grandchildren: Alexander and Ava Hutchison, Alex LaBelle, Bennett and Adeline Orlino and Gabriel Hurley.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, in 2005; two brothers: W. Dale and Merle; and two sisters: Irma Coleman and Freda Smith.

Anna Mary was a 1943 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and a graduate of the Chicago School of Practical Nursing. She retired from The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg as a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, where she had formerly served as a youth adviser, Sunday school teacher, deaconess and choir member. She had been active in the Women’s Fellowship and enjoyed crafts and music.

Friends will be received from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday, July 31, 2018, with a funeral service following at noon, all at Carson Valley Church of the Brethren, Pastor Bradley Runkle officiating. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery.
