Carol R. Scott, 59, Huntingdon, formerly of Hollidaysburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday at UPMC Altoona with her family at her side.

She was born in Bedford, daughter of Margaret (Shields) and the late James Jeffreys. On Aug. 24, 1985, she was united in marriage to Robert C. Scott at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg.

Surviving are her husband of 32 years of Huntingdon; two daughters: Jennifer Scott Bond and husband, Blake, of Wilmington, Del., and Kelly Scott and her fiance, Andrew Young, of Huntingdon; her mother of Hollidaysburg; and a sister, Ann (Jeffreys) Corle and husband, Perry, of Hollidaysburg.

Carol attended Hollidaysburg Area public schools and was a 1976 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. After high school, she enrolled at Pennsylvania State University and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in individual and family studies in 1980. She began her career as a field director for the Girl Scouts of the USA, prior to entering into social work. She was also employed in retail for a short period of time before making the decision to become a homemaker.

She was of the Catholic faith and also enjoyed participating in religious activities within the community.

She enjoyed going on trips to the sea shore and spending time with her family and friends. She also had a special fondness for animals, particularly dogs and her family pets, and had an absolute love for music, especially the Celtic and Christian genres.

Carol will be remembered by her family as a caring and loving daughter, wife and mother who had a huge heart and a natural ability to connect and befriend others.

Friends will be received from 9:30 until 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at John B.
