Robert W.‘Bob’ Keech

Robert W. “Bob” Keech, 81, Hollidaysburg, passed away Friday morning at Garvey Manor Nursing Home, Hollidays­burg, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in Altoona, son of the late Richard and Margaret (McGuire) Keech. On Oct. 1, 1960, he married Mary Ann Moore in Hollidaysburg.

Surviving are his wife of Duncansville; a son, Timothy Robert (Renee Spiers) of Altoona; a daughter, Rebecca Keech Roberts (Scott) of Scottsdale, Ariz.; twin granddaughters: Katharine and Emily; a brother, Ray Keech (Lorraine) of Hollidays­burg; and a sister, Barbara Keech McCreary of Lititz.

Bob was a 1955 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School. He retired as a supervisor from Butterick Co. Inc., Altoona, and had also worked for Judges Carpenter and Sullivan.

He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg. He was a former member and past president of Park Hills Country Club.

He enjoyed shooting pool, playing golf, gardening, Friday night dinners with his brother, and watching Penn State and Steelers football.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018, Plank, Stitt & Stevens Funeral Home, 421 Montgomery St., Hollidaysburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be held on Thursday. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Hollidaysburg, Monsignor Stanley B. Carson celebrant. Committal will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.
