Marlene Y. (Wilt) Harris

June 25, 1939 – Feb. 12, 2018

Marlene Y. (Wilt) Harris, 78, formerly of Canan Station, Altoona, died Monday morning at The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Ira and Dorothy (Lafferty) Wilt.

Surviving are eight children: Connie (Ken) McNally, Cheryl (Jim) Consalvo, Cathy (Gary) Ayers, Pam (Steve) Ross, Terry (Roebyn) Horton, Lori (Erich) Stotler, Wendy (William) Daus and James A. Harris; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including a granddaughter, Kristina (Brent) McIntire, with whom she had previously resided; and four siblings: William and Herbert Wilt, Irene Arthur and Debbie Clair.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Harris on March 7, 2012; and three siblings: Mae Carbonetti, Janice Rhodes and Sonny Wilt.

Marlene worked for Denny’s in Altoona, and Dunkin Donuts in Altoona, for several years.

She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino and her weekly visits to the former beauty shop, “My Fair Lady.”

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to

8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, and from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at Liebegott-Brown Funeral Home Inc., 1218 Fourth Ave., Duncansville. Interment will take place at Carson Valley Cemetery, Duncansville.
