Marilyn Kay Feathers

March 23, 1937 – Feb. 3, 2018

Marilyn Kay Feathers, 80, Roaring Spring, died Saturday morning at The Village at Morrisons Cove.

She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Harry Reffner and Emma Jane (Helsel) Reffner Gill.

Surviving are three children: Barry Feathers and wife, Ruth, of Harrisburg, Melody Jane Feltenberger and husband, George, of Marysville and Shawn Feathers of Anamosa, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Betty Beach of Roaring Spring and Sandra Rodgers and husband, Barry, of Altoona; and a half-brother, Butch Reffner of Roaring Spring.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Elvie Feathers; a son, William Floyd Feathers; a grandson, Shane Feathers; a brother, Herb Reffner; two sisters: Delores Lazar and Joyce Conrad; and an infant sister, Joanne Reffner.

Marilyn attended Roaring Spring High School.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no viewing. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Marilyn’s memory may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
