Douglas Panasiti, 73, Deland, Fla., passed away Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late James and Esther (Conway) Panasiti. He lived in both the Tyrone and Hollidaysburg areas until 2010 when he and his wife decided to relocate to Deland.
Surviving are his wife, Norma (Plummer) Panasiti; a daughter, Greta; a brother, Scott (Amanda); a sister-in-law, Norma; and his very special aunt and uncle: Audrey and Wally Conway.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jack.
Douglas was a great supporter of fraternal organizations and community endeavors. He was an active member in many organizations including: the former Tyrone Blue Lodge, Deland Blue Lodge Shrine, Tall Cedars of Lebanon, Jaffa Clowns, Hollidaysburg Ambulance Association, Hollidaysburg Lions Club, the former AM Ambucs of Altoona and the Blair County Association for the Blind.
A memorial service will be held in the spring at the convenience of the family.
