Arlene A. Burket

Arlene A. Burket, 91, Treasure Lake, DuBois, formerly of East Freedom, died Friday at her residence.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Clarence and Lucy (Miller) Biddle. In 1945, she married Gerald C. Burket Sr., and he preceded her in death in 1981.
Surviving are a son, David A. Burket and wife, Diana, of Leola; two daughters: Lucinda A. Dixon of Durham, N.C., and Robin L. Cameron and husband, Russ, of DuBois; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, with one on the way; a brother, Samuel Biddle of Vinco; and a sister, Joyce Hainly of Hollidaysburg.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debora Burket; and a son, Gerald C. Burket Jr.
Arlene retired from Veeder-Root Co., Duncansville, after more than 30 years of service.
She was a member of the “Crazy Ladies Book Club” and many card clubs. She was also a member of the United Veterans Association Club of Blair County. She loved to read and play games, go to the casino and drink wine with her friends.
There will be no public visitation. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018, at Grace Fellowship Church, Altoona. Interment will be in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Arrangements are by Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium Inc., DuBois.
