Anna B. Pielmeier

Anna B. Pielmeier, 94, Altoona, passed away Friday at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.

She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Ratzer) Lechner. On Oct. 16, 1954, she married Paul Pielmeier, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 1985.

Surviving are a son, Tim (Michele) Pielmeier of Bellwood; two daughters: Cheryl Ferguson and Paula (Joseph) Holsinger, both of Altoona; and seven grandchildren: Thad (Kelly) Ferguson, Ashlyn (Luis) Cancel, Abby and Julie Holsinger and Daniel, Tracy and Emily Pielmeier.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters; and a son-in-law, Edward Ferguson.

Anna was previously employed as a sewing machine operator for Altoona Overall Factory for 14 years.

She was a member of

St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona, and she enjoyed crocheting, reading, being outdoors, eating out and spending time with her family.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday,

Feb. 4, 2018, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Altoona, Father Ronald Osinski celebrant. Committal will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Altoona.

The family requests that memorial contributions in Anna’s memory be given to the Blair/Clearfield Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, 300 Fifth Ave., Altoona, PA 16602.
