Angeline T. Capriotti

Angeline T. Capriotti, 92, Gallitzin, died Monday at Just Like Home Personal Care, Cresson.
She was born in Bennington, daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Gardinelle) Salpino.
Surviving are five children: Dante Jr. (Mary Walker) of Chapin, S.C., Dr. Thomas of Cresson, Allen (Dolores Lutton) of Altoona, Roberta (Jim) Lowry of Stow, Ohio, and Jeffrey (Michelle Kloceh) of Henderson, Nev.; 13 grandchildren: Andrea (Scott) Kinzie, Kimberly Capriotti (Joe), Dr. Gregory Capriotti and friend Sara, Danielle (Nick) Sefchok, Loren (Brandon) Pacchioni, Angelina (Mike) Long, Veronica (Derek) Saloney, Jimmy Lowry, Sara (Brad) Weston, Deana Lowry and fiancee Laura Loht, Kelly (Brandon) Wallin, Holly Lowry and Isabella Capriotti; and eight great-grandchildren: Baylee, Kaelab, Cameron, Lyla Rose, Nina, Liam, Vincent and baby Weston to be born in April.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dante on Nov. 10, 2015; a daughter-in-law, Deborah Capriotti on May 4, 2016; four sisters: Mary Belluomo, Rose Ratchford, Jennie Berardinelli and Lucy Rubo; and three brothers: Oscar, Anthony and Frank.
Angie was a 1943 graduate of Gallitzin High School and attended Saint Francis College. She worked as a teacher’s aide for Penn Cambria School District and at St. Patrick Catholic School.
She was member of St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, and she was a member of the Gallitzin Alumni Association and she organized all 50-year class reunions.
She loved to cook, go dancing and enjoyed going out to eat.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Gibbons Funeral Home, 301 Church St., Gallitzin, where a vigil service will be held. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, at St. Demetrius Catholic Church, Gallitzin, the Rev. Albert Ledoux celebrant. Committal will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gallitzin.
