Shirley Ann Lannen

Shirley Ann Lannen, 83, Village of Skelp, Altoona, went to be with her Lord on Saturday at her residence.
She was born in Village of Skelp, daughter of the late Andrew and Mabel (Fleck) Christofic. On Feb. 19, 1954, she married James B. “Scruff” Lannen in Tyrone.
Surviving are her loving husband; a son, Roger B. (Diane) Lannen of Skelp; a daughter, Tammra (Paul) Campbell of Fort Mill, S.C.; six grandchildren: Andrew (Carrie) Lannen, Jacquelyn (Jay) Kerle, Ben (Shannon) Lannen, Blaire (Adam) Farrell, Karl Campbell and Lydia Campbell; and six great-grandchildren: McKayla, Kameron, Lindsey, Jacob, Wyatt and Byron.
She was preceded in death by four brothers’ and four sisters. She was the last of her immediate family.
Shirley was a 1953 graduate of Tyrone High School. She worked at Paul’s Diner, Tyrone, and at Big Yank Co.
She was a dedicated homemaker. She served on the Tyrone Township Election Board for many years, and she attended Tipton Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener, and many who traveled through Skelp admired her iris gardens.
Friends will be received from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at Derman Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone, Pastor Tim Adams officiating. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
