Mary June Hetrick

Mary June Hetrick, 81, Rural Valley, passed away peacefully Friday at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Kimmel Township, Bedford County, daughter of Wilson and Laura (Burket) Walter.
Surviving are two sons: Blaine Oswalt and wife, Kay, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, and Michael Hetrick of South Bend, Ind.; a daughter, Louise (Oswalt) Graff and husband, Bernard, of Rural Valley; nine grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Ross Walter of El Dorado, Calif.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant daughter, Michele Hetrick, who died in 1964; a son, Curtis Oswalt, who died in 1977; two grandsons: George Graff, who died in 2001 and BJ Graff, who died in 2016; three brothers: Jesse, Ray and Curtis Walter; an infant sister, Rosella Walter; and a daughter-in-law, Deborah Hetrick.
Mary was a longtime resident of the Shelocta and Indiana areas and a member of Whitesburg United Methodist Church. She served as the Noble Grand at Silver Star Rebekah Lodge 67 in Elderton.
She enjoyed playing bingo and was happiest when spending time with her family.
At the request of the deceased, the funeral service will be private.
Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
