Judith C. Biddle

Judith C. Biddle, 75, Altoona, passed away Monday at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Clair and Alma (Baker) Runk. She married Wayne J. Biddle, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Surviving are two sons: Larry W. (Tammy) Biddle of Altoona and Brian K. (Stephanie) Biddle of Lan-caster; two daughters: Tammie S. (Daniel) Hicks of Mifflinburg and Lisa M. Williams of Altoona; six grandchildren: Matthew and Nicholas Biddle, Kristina Henderson, Kelly Biddle, Janelle Williams and Emily Hicks; three great-grandchildren: Brilyn, Skyla and Tyler; two brothers: Clair “Sonny” (Doris) Runk and Gordon Runk, both of Altoona; and two sisters: Donna Brubaker of Altoona and Beverly Wood in Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jeremiah Biddle; and two brothers-in-law: Ray Wood and Richard Brubaker.
Judith attended Altoona High School, and she retired from the Altoona Area School District after nearly 30 years of service, having worked in both the cafeteria and custodial departments.
For most of her life, she was a member of Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Altoona, where she was a member of the choir. She enjoyed working with arts and crafts, cooking, baking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2018, and from 10 until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2018, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona, her son-in-law, the Rev. Daniel Hicks, officiating. Interment will be held at Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood.
