Jack D. Feathers

Jack D. Feathers, 83, Claysburg, passed away Sunday at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.

He was born in Queen, son of the late Arch and Christena (Claar) Feathers. On April 7, 1956, he married Gloria K. Peck in Cumberland, Md., and she preceded him in death on July 30, 2017.

Surviving are a daughter, Debbie (Terry) Weyandt of Claysburg; two sons: Jack Jr. (Mindy) of East Freedom and Mark (Beverly) of Claysburg; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert of McDonald; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers: Clair, Arch Jr., Freeman, George and Walter; and three sisters: Ethel, Margaret and Dorothy.

Jack was a 1953 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School. He retired from Small Tube Products in 1997 after more than 30 years of service.

He was a member of the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren. Jack also was a member of the Beaver Run Rod and Gun Club.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and shotgun shooting.

Friends will be received from 6 until the 8 p.m. funeral service Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at the Upper Claar Church of the Brethren, Pastor David Maxwell officiating. Interment will be held at Upper Claar Cemetery. Arrangements are by Leslie-Miller Funeral Home, Claysburg.
