Amelia A. ‘Toots’ Harker

Amelia A. “Toots” Harker, 83, Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday evening at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
She was born in Newry, daughter of the late Carl F. and Annie G. (Horvath) Harker.
Surviving are two brothers: Gary and Ronald; and three sisters: Suzanne Flaugh, Pauline Wineland and Margaret McCarthy.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Roger E. and Francis W.; and a sister, Barbara E. Flaugh.
Toots was a 1952 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School, and, for a short time, she worked as a secretary for the late attorney Harry Benton, until her health no longer allowed her to.
She was a member of Dry Run Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville, and she enjoyed working on crossword puzzles.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, 2017, at Sorge Funeral Home Inc., Hollidaysburg, where a funeral service will be held immediately after at 5 p.m. Thursday, Pastor John D. Leatherman officiating. Interment will be held at Dry Run Cemetery.
