William J. Taylor

William J. Taylor, 85, Altoona, died at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. He was born in Altoona, son of the late William H. and Hester A. (Focht) Taylor. Surviving are his wife, Joan (Robbins); three children: Karen Carles, Ronald Galat and Tammy Peros; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; and three siblings: Irene Musser, Marie Fluke and Thomas. He was preceded in death by four children: Steven Taylor, Wayne Galat, William Galat and Pamela Webster; a great-granddaughter, Amarie Miller; and a sister, Barbara Fry. Friends will be received from 2 to the 4 p.m. funeral service Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, at Gibbons Funeral Home, Ashville.
