Rose Mary (Lavely) Wasylson
Rose Mary (Lavely) Wasylson, 72, Franklin Park, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 29, 2017.
She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Mary and Hamilton Lavely.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Robert, who will miss her deeply; four children: Diane Reed of North Canton, Ohio, and Mark Wasylson, Paul Wasylson and Karen Spanos, all of Pittsburgh; eight grandchildren: Josh, Matt and Adam Reed, Erin, Ryan, Lauren, Shaun and Ronan Wasylson; and two sisters: Natalie Raymond and Janet Formica.
Rose Mary graduated from Bishop McCort High School. She was a volunteer at and a 39-year member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Wexford. She was also a choir member for weekly Mass at St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Gibsonia.
She was a kind and giving person who was a peacemaker and was there for anyone who needed her. But most of all, her faith was the driving force in her life. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 2, 2017, at George A. Thoma Funeral Home Inc., 10418 Perry Highway, Wexford. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 3, 2017, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 201 Church Road, Wexford. Interment will be at Holy Savior Mausoleum, Gibsonia.
