Lois A. Law

Lois A. Law, 86, Bedford, passed away on July 8, 2017, at Arbutus Park Retirement Home, Johnstown.
She was born in Johnstown, daughter of the late Thelma G. and Harry M. Anderson. She was united in marriage to Clayton E. Law on Sept. 23, 1949, in Ebensburg. He passed away on March 5, 1983.
Surviving are two sons: Clayton E. Law Jr. and wife, Anne (Oden), and Kenneth M. Law and wife, Heather (Humphries); five grandchildren; a great-grandchild; a brother, Donald P. Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth L. and Glenn K.
Lois was a graduate of Ebensburg Cambria High School and Catonsville Community College, Maryland. She was a licensed Maryland Realtor for 10 years and was also employed by the Maryland State Police in the FBI Criminal Records department. During her retirement years, she occupied her time by private computer tutoring and volunteering as a van driver for disabled veterans, transporting veterans from Johnstown or Bedford to Van Zandt VA Medical Center, Altoona, for treatment.
Lois was a member of Bedford United Methodist Church. She had registered as an Anatomical Gifts donor, with hopes she may benefit others.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, 2017, at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church, 600 Walker Road, Wayne, PA 19087. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to LOVE Inc., 80 State St., Everett, PA 15537. Arrangements are by Timothy A. Berkebile Funeral Home, Bedford.
