Harry B. Rupert Jr.

Dec. 12, 1935 – June 2, 2017

Harry B. Rupert Jr., 81, Bellwood, passed away Friday at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Bellwood, son of the late Harry B. Sr. and Ermine C. (Hinton) Rupert. He married Dawn G. Heverly, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are a daughter, Dawn Cheri Rupert (Larry Ferrone) of Bellwood; a brother, Robert (Gail) Rupert of Dysart; and two nephews: Robert Jr. and Christopher Rupert.

He was preceded in death by a son, Harry B. III.

Harry was a 1952 graduate of Bellwood-Antis High School. He retired from the U.S. Army Reserves after many years of service. He was a previous owner and supervisor of Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township, and a previous owner of Blair Ambulance Transport Service, Blair County.

Harry attended Tipton Baptist Church. Although non-active, he was the oldest member of Excelsior Volunteer Fire Department, Bellwood, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and outdoor activities.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2017, at Vincent J. Good Funeral Parlor, 517 S. Cambria St., Bellwood, where a funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017, by Pastor Pine. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
