Lester L. Wilson

Lester L. Wilson, 55, Roaring Spring, died unexpectedly on Wednesday morning at his residence.

He was born in Hunting­don, son of Elmer Ellsworth and the late Beulah Faye (Swope) Wilson.

Surviving are his wife of 35 years, Judy A. (Smith) Wilson; three children: Matthew L. Wilson and wife, Mary, and Leslie A. Wilson, both of Williams­burg, and Brittany L. Wilson at home; a granddaughter, Emily Jean Wilson; his father, Elmer E. Wilson of Sebastian, Fla.; three sisters: Carolyn A. Huey and husband, Raymond, of Bellwood, Nancy K. Lolas and husband, Denny, of Sebastian, Fla., and Shirley J. Stabile and husband, Kevin, of Altoona; a brother, Charles R. Wilson and wife, Paula, of Loxahatchee, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Jim Morder of Bellwood; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his twin sister, Alice M. Morder.

Lester was a 1980 graduate of Tyrone Area High School, and he was presently employed as a bus driver for Child Advocates of Blair County. He was a member of Calvary Methodist Church, Bellwood. He enjoyed NASCAR, gardening and his dogs, Reggie and Sparky. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.

Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 20, 2017, at Todd T. Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Pastor Richard Maher officiating. Interment will be made in Logan Valley Cemetery, Bellwood.
